All versions and variants were manufactured under license by the Springfield Armory between 18 and famously served as the longarm during the Spanish–American War. The Spanish-American war was a conflict in which the U.S. MODEL 1898 SPRINGFIELD ARMY' and SN on left side. 3040 Krag-Jorgensen, but many Americans fought with the antiquated Trapdoor Springfield. The Springfield Model 1892–99 Krag–Jørgensen rifle is a Norwegian-designed bolt-action rifle that was adopted in 1892 as the standard United States Army military longarm, chambered in U.S. MODEL 1898 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY Serial number '144613', 3040-Caliber - SOLD. It appears to have original sights and stock, but at some point it appears to have been nickel-plated.
